Ser Jacopo's
"Domina" 1997

Special note: These two pipes have been sold, we're now secure in saying the 1997 Domina is sold out!

A Rustic (R1 finish) Ser Jacopo Domina 1997.
It has the micro-fusion silver band, which is a bit tarnished and has been
left in that condition. The nomenclature on the band reads, "Domina 97".
The pipe is carved rustic throughout, with the exception of a panel on the
bottom of the shank running from the bowl to the silver band.
The nomenclature reads:
"Ser Jacopo, Domina 97, Per Aspera ad Astra,
Fatta a Mano in Italia".
The stem is hand cut rod plexiglass with the inlaid sterling silver
"J" logo. The bowl is 2 3/8" from top to bottom, with an outside diameter a
little more that 1 3/8". The pipe is packaged in a special, and quite spectacular
presentation showcase. A special pipe in every way.

Ref: D1997-A

This pipe is also a Rustic (R1 finish) Ser Jacopo Domina 1997.
Much of the information for this pipe is identical to the first piece, where
there is a difference the type will be set in bold.
It has the special micro-fusion silver band, which is a bit tarnished and has been

as well as a panel on the bottom of the shank running from the
bowl to the silver band.
The nomenclature on the shank is,
"Ser Jacopo, Domina 97, Per Aspera ad Astra, Fatta a Mano in Italia".
The stem is hand cut rod plexiglass with the inlaid sterling
silver "J" logo. The bowl of this pipe is somewhat larger than the other.

Special note: These two pipes have been sold, we're now secure in saying the 1997 Domina is sold out!

I guess we have egg on our faces. We've been telling everyone who has asked that the Domina for 1997
was sold out for some time. All the while, we had these two - in their original presentation showcases -
just a short walk away. So the 1997 Domina isn't quite extinct, but will be soon.
These two rustic pieces are available, and if you are interested in one, either you or your local dealer
should contact us right away. If you don't have a local dealer, we'll assist you in finding a dealer through
whom the sale can be made. Obviously dealers can purchase the pipe for their store stock, and
anyone inquiring about that model would be referred to the stocking dealer.

Keep in mind that since 1998 there have been 333 pieces of Domina for each year. That is total pieces in all finishes, stains, etc., 333 each year. However this concept wasn't in effect for the first two years - 1996 & 1997.
That means there is no number stamped on the shank to show where in the production run it was.
On the other hand, there were far fewer Dominas made in 1996 and 1997, in fact about 150 were made,
which makes them a bit more rare than the models which followed in '98,'99, '2000.
