A Smeraldo (emerald) Hawkbill with 18k gold band.
This shape, commonly called a "Hawkbill" features a
reverse stem, which sometimes seems a bit like an
Albrecht Durer etching. (As in: something's not quite right with
this picture).
Be assured, there is nothing wrong with this picture.
Strong straight grain encircles the bowl, and crawls up both
sides of the shank as well.
As usual, you'll have no problem running a pipe cleaner through
the shank, and guess what else! There is no double drilling of
the shank, which could cause a weaker shank, and sometimes
allows air to leak. This is never a problem thanks to the
flexible drilling unit which Ser Jacopo uses.
